January is School Board Recognition Month
Myrtle Beach Primary says thank
you to our 12 School Board members who serve the students, schools, and
communities of Horry County. Please take a moment to drop a kind word
of appreciation to our School
Board Representative, District #2, Karen McIlrath.
Student Holiday
Monday, February 20 is a
student holiday / teacher workday. Students return to school on Tuesday, February 21.
Welcome to Myrtle Beach Primary School
Welcome to Myrtle Beach Primary School, home of the “Primary Seahawks.” We invite you to browse our website or visit our school for information on this unique early childhood center.
Guidelines for free and reduced meals
New guidelines determine eligibility based on household size and income and are effective July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
Morning Procedures
Procedures for morning arrival:
You can do any of the following…
1. Have your child ride the school bus.
2. Drop your child off at the front of the school by getting in the car rider line.
3. Walk your child through the back door and let them go to class alone.
4. Sign in at the front desk and walk your child to class – sign out as you leave. You will have to use the Parent Check-IN at the front door.
Parent Check-IN System
In an effort to enhance safety at our school we have a sign-in system in our front office. The new computer-based system, called School Check-IN, requires you to bring in a driver's license or picture identification and scan it every time you visit our school or pick up a child.
Title I
We are a Title I School. Our Title I plan may reviewed by coming to the school office or the school Library/Media Center. We invite you to take this survey to assess parent involvement for the 2010-2011 school year.
