Mrs. Beth Compton

Principal

My name is Beth Compton, and I am honored to be the new principal of Myrtle Beach Primary School. I have worked for Horry County Schools and served the Myrtle Beach community for over 25 years now. I am a native of Myrtle Beach and graduated from Myrtle Beach High School, where I also met my husband, Josh. We have three daughters who also attended Myrtle Beach schools, so we are all Seahawks for life!

I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Elementary Education, and I later earned my Master of Education in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. I have served as an Assistant Principal for the past 12 years and I am excited to step into this new role as Principal of Myrtle Beach Primary School. 

My favorite thing to do in my free time is spend time with my family. We enjoy going to the beach, time at the lake, traveling together, and cheering on the Gamecocks!

I look forward to being a member of the MBP team and working with our community to support our young Seahawks. I am confident that we will have a wonderful school year!
